- Post with a character you might want to play here.
- Either use one of the prompts or you can make your own.
- Have fun.
★ Prompts
1) Arrival
[Before you knew it, the world you were in had gone dark. Why or even how wasn't exactly clear, but the moment you wake up, you find that you are not where you were before. Instead there appears to be a small village, but it's dark and the people appear to not be leaving there houses anytime soon. Why weren't they? Perhaps looking around might wield results.]
2) Monster Attack
[Just outside the village creatures appear to be wondering around. If you come too close they will attack. Sharp claws swinging towards whoever crosses there path. Avoid or counter?]
3) What the hell?!
[In the woods, if one were to wonder further enough they would come across a circle and a bunch of cloak people, kneeling down and bowing down toward the center. Whatever was going on it was certainly odd.]
4) Wildcard

Adrian Brooks | Original Character
[Well...that was certainly something he never expected to see outside of television shows..What the hell were they even worshipping anyway? Either way it was worrying as he started to take a few steps back. He didn't want to fight, but he really, really didn't want to get involved in this kind of thing.]
I'll... just be going then. You keep doing that creepy worshipping thing and I'll mosey on off.
no subject
[She points this out in a hushed tone, similarly backing away from the straight sight. Freya hopes that they are just ignored though she isn't sure they'd be so lucky. This world is freaky enough without a bunch of cloaked figures circling a stone.
She'd only followed the guy in front of her because he looked normal and like he might know how she got to this weird place. Not that she particularly minds but she likes the US. It's more normal.]

He knows a thing or two about power and belief, though. It's good to remember. He nod's at the guy's comment.]
You're right. It's probably best to clear out right now.

David Vaghun | Original Character
[David’s senses immediately tell him he isn’t where she should be. His home is gone, his forest is gone and his family is gone. His shoulders tense and he quickly stands taking a defensive position. New smells fill his nose and his alarm continues to rise.]
What is this place?
[He’s used to talking to himself though he wishes that someone might answer. It isn’t like anywhere he’s seen and his senses are screaming for him to return to his territory.]
Monster Attack
[Well this is just great. He is used to interacting with animals but he isn’t used to having strange shadows attack. He shifts without much forethought, his shirt and pants quickly removed since he doesn’t want to have to try and find new clothes in a place that he doesn’t know.
Anyone walking by will see a rather large wolf fighting with a shadow, claws and fang clashing together in a frenzy of blows. It currently doesn’t look like there is a clear winner.]
Wild Card: Dead woods makes me sad.
[David is a werewolf but above that he’s a park ranger. He protects parks, specifically his, but all trees and forests should be protected. Seeing the dead curdled wood in front of him pulls at his heart. A hand lightly rests on the dry bark his voice dropping to a soft and soothing tone.]
We’ll see you healed.
[He needs to get home but he can’t possibly leave with this forest in this state. Anyone walking past will see the man talking to the trees, telling them of his forest and all of the amazing things that live there.]
1
She rounded a corner and the memory of his scent became much more pronounced. The moist grass squished beneath her bare feet as she moved closer and heard his mumble a question. David? David's here? Her steps quickened in the direction of his scent and his voice as she focused on something familiar even though it was almost as new as everything around her. Her Tinkerbell pajamas rustled around her legs as she moved, but she didn't care. She wasn't alone here.]
David...? Is that really you?

Wild Card
Thomas really just watches the guy, noticing a lot more than his casual stance lets on, and keeping himself hidden from the man (sort of) whose nostrils flare as the wind blows. He's scenting the wind, Thomas noticed. This guy wasn't all human, either. And then the wind shifted, carrying Thomas' scent to the Tree Speaker. Well, there went stealth.
He steps from behind the tree he's been using for cover, head tilted to the side in curiosity.]
So...you talk to dead trees often?

He does, not only because of the conjured light, carry with him a strong scent of magic, but he doesn't necessarily realize the treehugger (literally a guy hugging a tree here, folks) is going to smell it.
He watched the guy curiously for a moment, but can't bite back his tongue (can he ever really?) when the guy speaks.]
You know, they say singing to plants helps them grow. I think I read that somewhere.

Wild Card!
Soon enough she found the source. Ruby stood behind a nearby tree and peeked out enough to see a gentle looking man talking to... himself? No, that wasn't right. He was talking to the woods. To nature. The human part of her wanted to think that was strange, but the wolf inside understood. The longer she watched him the stronger the pull to approach him became, but how could she know if he was actually safe? He looked it, but...
She couldn't make up her mind one way or another, so she decided to linger a bit longer. ]

Chi | Chobits
[Her eyes part and the sound of a hard drive spinning echoes from the young girls head. She’s wearing unfamiliar clothes but they fit remarkably well. Slowly she rises from the ground, her bright eyes looking around at the scene before her.]
Chi? Chi!
[Chi doesn’t know where she is though she knows that it isn’t the city or Hideki’s apartment. At this point, her understanding of things is limited. She lets her hands lightly glide against the ground as if feeling it for the first time.]
Wild Card:
[ooc:If there is trouble... Chi is getting into it. She’s from early canon and wants to see what everything is.]

[She blinks, reaching for what she knows. When nothing responses her eyes snap open.]
Where am I...
[Enis doesn't want to move, she doesn't want to risk it. she's no longer anywhere she knows and it's frightening. Startling blue eyes glance around her but she isn't moving.]
Monster Attack
[Shit.
Enis isn't designed to fight. She stares at the shadow and begins to slowly step back. Except it's to late, the dark eyes of the figure fix on her and begin creeping forward.
She takes a small step back but an unfamiliar fear grips at her heart.]
Wild Card:
[ooc: Hit me up with a prompt! She is without internet and is sad about this fact.]
Monster Attack
That was disconcerting. He broadened the range of his scanners, though not too far. It wasn't guaranteed that his batteries would even recharge here, though his body was designed to metabolize energy to recharge them from consumed food. Nothing could be assumed, not until more data was collected.
Warning. Hostile subjects detected. Spartan turned his attention toward the location of the disturbance and ran. His ground speed was over 60 mph, assuring he closed the distance in record time.
He noted the girl, a blip on his radar he would evaluate once the target was eliminated, and moved quickly between her and the encroaching threat. Only one target. He raised a fist, initializing his plasma projectors in his arm, and released a solid blast of fiery energy at the creature. It melted through the beast's body easily enough. As the monster's vital signs disappeared from his monitor, he nodded once, and turned to the girl, performing a health scan as his eye scanners moved up and down her form.
She was unharmed, but heavily modified. She was a cyborg. Noted. He nearly turned to go, but stopped himself. The caring voice of his fiance, Voodoo, reminding him to be polite. He offers the girl a smile, mechanical but intended to be gentle.]

Hatter | Syfy Original Series Alice
[Hatter stands and watches the proceedings with a passing interest. He's close to a tree and easy to miss for those who aren't looking for him.]
Blood hell. [He's gotten himself into something far beyond what he's comfortable with. He misses the simpler days when he'd run a tea shop and then discreetly help out those who needed it.]
This just means trouble.
what the hell?!
Crimson cape swirling about him as he strode purposefully into the wood, he came up short when he heard the chanting. It was haunting, and reminiscent of the followers of Sephiroth. A bad sign.
He watched the huddled figures for a moment, looking for some sign of intent, when Hatter spoke. He turned his head quickly at the sound, cursing himself for not noticing the man sooner. He makes a sound of agreement, rough and deep and looks back to the huddled worshipers.]

Remy leBeau | Marvel 616
[It isn't exactly the first time Gambit's ended up in a strange universe without explanation. The village looked promising, and so, with a swagger and a swish of his trenchcoat, he heads into town to see what's going on. There's a calm sort of undertone to the place that sets the Cajun ill at ease. It wouldn't be the first time he's encountered a telepath keeping people under their thrall before, either. Thanks, Dracula.]
2
[Stepping outside town wasn't the most brilliant plan. He was set upon by, something he couldn't identify, almost instantly. Gambit drew his quarterstaff, surging pure power into the length of the shaft as he did so, the metal thrumming with magenta energy, and swung at one, releasing the charge in an explosive burst as it connected with the creature's chest, sending it flying. Another was already coming up on his rear, though, and a grin slowly spread across his face. He didn't get much chance to let loose these days.]

Thomas Raith | the Dresden Files
[Standing just a hair under six feet with immaculate complexion and raven hair, Thomas doesn't exactly fit in. Pair that with his nice slacks, stylishly unbuttoned white silk shirt and bare chest and you don't even have to guess that he's probably wandered here much the same as you have. To the casual observer, the stormy eyed man with the black curls seems completely at ease. Anyone who looks closer, though, will notice the tautness in the muscles across his shoulders and the subtle dart of his eyes as he watches the events around him. He'll flash a Rembrandt white smile at anyone passing by to get their attention, though, and, being an incubus makes that smile even more attractive.]
Hey, there. Any idea when the next bus to Chicago stops in? I need to see a guy about a thing.
1...
If I knew I'd be on that bus with you.
[She looks over at him, her gray eyes shining curiously. He smells off and while he's very good looking he isn't completely human.]

2 | (Post Cap 2, Pre Cap 3)
He had little advantage. Not only was he in unfamiliar territory, but it seemed like the... creatures, whatever the hell they were, knew exactly where they were and what they were doing. He could feel it in the air. They were out for a kill.
He stood completely still, thoughts incessantly racing to find a way out of the sick game he'd landed in. He tightened his hands into fists, the minimum of a plan forming as his mind worked to process the situation. He was beginning to fear that said plan wasn't going to form near quickly enough. ]

He's coming up on the edges of the village, hoping to see if he can get a look at anything that might be surrounding the village, and his gaze is caught by a figure ahead of him. There's a glint of something in the low light, metal? He's about to call out to the other, to ask them if they've found anything of interest, but then he sees the other darker forms approaching. What they are, they don't look human.
Steve steps forward, his shield now clutched in one hand. He calls out a warning.]
Watch out! [One of the dark forms has broken away from the rest and is charging the other man. Steve lets his shield fly, aiming straight for the creature.]

Catrina Allaway | Original Character
[A girl wanders into town, looking around with cautious interest at the various buildings. She probably wouldn't even seem so out of place if it weren't for her Tinkerbell Pajamas and her bare feet, which make it clear she's just rolled out of bed. Her voice is high, warm, and welcoming whenever she greets someone who might address her, though her stance is guarded, her arms wrapped around her mid-section as though to protect herself from the strangeness of it all.]
Um...hello? Do you know where we are?
Re: Catrina Allaway | Original Character
[Freya's dressed and has her backpack slung over her shoulder. Even in sleep, she doesn't let go of it. She eyes Cat curiously, she knows that Cat is a wolf though she doesn't remember her.]

the driver☽ drive☽ ota
[ Driver shook the fog away from his eyes as he sat up and looked around. This wasn't California. He had no idea what "this" was.
He stood up and glanced around, a grim look on his face. Where was his car? Did he have to hoof it?
Driver didn't walk, he drove. But he guessed for now he wouldn't be.
He just needed to know what was going on. ]
one;
[Freya is feeling very lost though she isn't about to let anyone in on that secret. She doesn't feel comfortable here and while she's used to traveling she's used to knowing where she's going. She feels trapped and her instinct to run is nagging at the edge of her senses like an insistent headache.
If he were to turn towards her he'd seen a girl in her mid-twenties who is very short. Her shoulders are squared forward and strong but there is a fluidness in her stance that suggests she's ready to bolt.]
Harry Dresden | The Dresden Files
001. Arrival
[It's hard to say what draws attention to the man wandering into town first. It could be his height, which is well over six feet, or his worn duster. It could even be the weathered jeans and off-white t-shirt or the plain bent metal pentacle on the simple leather cord around his neck. Maybe it's that he's wearing only one leather glove on his right hand in which he's gripping a tall gnarled staff of wood with glowing scarlet runes etched into its surface. Or maybe it's something more simple, like the pungent scent of magic or the intense aura of power radiating from him.
It could even be something as basic as his wary but confident stride. Storm-grey eyes dart around attentively, taking in details of the place, his severe brows lowered in confusion and a little concern. If a fellow arrival, or a random passerby, comes close enough, he'll turn and flash a smile their direction.]
Hi, excuse me. Do you know if this place is on Route 66? If so, I need to file a complaint about missing kicks.
002. MONSTER ATTACK!
[This was bound to happen. He'd gone and opened his big mouth. They'd set upon him as soon as he'd exited the village gates. That might suggest some kind of ward, but he'd have time to think about that after he made sure the local fauna didn't have wizard for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Pulling a foot-long rod of wood from a loop on his belt, he leveled the rune-etched shaft at the beast growling at him in the middle of the forest path.]
Fuego! [The runes ignited and a gout of concentrated fire erupted from the end of the blasting rod, roaring a fiery hole through the menacing monster and Harry breathed a sigh of relief.] Not the kicks I was looking for.
[The dying underbrush to his left and right rattled as they were pushed aside and twin maws, each belonging to a nasty beastie bigger than the last one, suddenly had him locked in a pincer maneuver.] Oh. Crap.
001. Arrival
Really? Route 66? That's what you've decided to go with?
[Her tone is light while a teasing smile begins to tug at the corner of her lips. Wavy blond hair falls over her shoulders while her backpack rests over one shoulder blade.
He reeks of magic and while Freya hasn't met a lot of mages she knew that they were all a little weird; in their own way.]

Totooria Helmold | Atelier Totori
[Totori figured she should at least help out a bit. If they were here to do that it would make sense that she try and do what she did back home. Mix things together and hope things don't explode.
So in the room she had been sharing with three others, Totori had managed to gather what she could. Some dirt, dead branches and something she had found in the woods that she wasn't sure of and had started to mix them together.
She had managed to set up a little pot that she managed to borrow from the kitchen and places what she had done into the thing. All she had left to do was sort out a fire.]

Jumping rather high for a normal person, she extended her leg and slammed in down upon the creatures head, causing it to crash to the floor.]

His fur reflects the light as he moves, powerful muscles pulling him forward. he doesn't have to know who this girl is to want to help. A shadow creeps behind her and he moves in a quick flash, clenching the offending demon between his powerful jaws. His back legs brush up against Lenalee as if to tell the girl that he's there and on her side.
Much like her, he's a skilled fighter though he's also another dark shape in the mass of the fight.]

Belle French | Once Upon a Time
[Belle wondered the village at night, she had been trying her best to keep an eye out on what building there were and if there was even a slim chance of there being a library. After all, time to time books could have important information. Taking a few steps forward, she was coming up to a near by building.
All she hoped for was a place of knowledge.]
Yo
[The familiar voice ran clearly through the night.]
Turn around.
[Snow has short hair and her bow and arrow in hand. The arrow is knocked against the taught string of the bow. All Snow sees is a shadow and she isn't about to take chances. She wants to know what this new strange place is and why she's been brought here. He can't simply assume it's the queens work anymore.]

[Murphy has gotten used to the supernatural but that doesn't mean she enjoys being it's play thing. She's instantly on her feet upon arrival, her gun in her hand as she cases the area. She's expecting to see Harry Dresden. This is the sort of thing that he would be at the center of and he's likely to have answers.
When she sees a shadow she'll aim her gun and then plant her feet firmly on the ground. Murphy is short with bright blonde ringlets and a face that would put a cheerleaders to shame and yet she's still able to speak with the sort of authority that makes the most burly men pause.]

[Things seemed like they needed some good done here. Some sort of police action to make sure that things aren't as dark and dank as they appeared. So when things had started to seem okay, getting better she couldn't help but notice someone stealing. Her instincts kicked in and her ears flat against her head, she started to run off after them.]
Monster Attack
[She hopped out of the way, running for her life away from the monster that was chasing her. She had no way of defending herself physically. She had to use her head and look for ways she could fight back against someone who was ten times her size. But the more she ran, the little she could see. It just made her hope she could find something sooner or later.]

Matias Lopez | Original Character
[Matias strikes an intimidating figure. Muscular and tall, he strides with his powerful shoulders tense in the darkness, nostrils scenting the air. Aside from the familiar scents of humans and wood structures, all the scents in the place are new to the werewolf, and if he's going to do as he was told, to help these people, at least for the time-being, he's going to need to know this place. It isn't his, and his instincts tell him to claim the place.
He's tangled with one shadow monster already, so he's gotten these things' scent. If someone approaches, he's not going to immediately assume you're one of them, and he's going to do his best not to look intimidating. He's not very good at pulling it off.]
Wild Card #2 Forest
[After doing a circuit of the village as a man, he strips at the village border, shifting into the form of a large black wolf. Muscular and large, standing no less than four feet at the shoulders, the muscles under his skin ripple in the shadowy forest. He stalks, head low, memorizing the scents of the place. The shadows are thicker here, more numerous, but the werewolf hasn't put two and two together and figured out why. He wouldn't without help. For now, he's learning.]
Wild Card:
He doesn't know this wolf or his plans and he doesn't want to make any sudden movements that might provoke him.]
