- Post with a character you might want to play here.
- Either use one of the prompts or you can make your own.
- Have fun.
★ Prompts
1) Arrival
[Before you knew it, the world you were in had gone dark. Why or even how wasn't exactly clear, but the moment you wake up, you find that you are not where you were before. Instead there appears to be a small village, but it's dark and the people appear to not be leaving there houses anytime soon. Why weren't they? Perhaps looking around might wield results.]
2) Monster Attack
[Just outside the village creatures appear to be wondering around. If you come too close they will attack. Sharp claws swinging towards whoever crosses there path. Avoid or counter?]
3) What the hell?!
[In the woods, if one were to wonder further enough they would come across a circle and a bunch of cloak people, kneeling down and bowing down toward the center. Whatever was going on it was certainly odd.]
4) Wildcard

no subject
Oh, I can be fast. [She lets out a huff of air before moving towards one of the dead trees. She doesn't see anything they can use on the ground so she jumps up and uses her minimal body weight to break off a branch that might work.]
I'm very good at running.
[Freya holds out the branch for Bucky.]
Are you ready?
no subject
He raised a brow at her next move. ]
Good at jumping too, apparently.
[ Tension returned to Bucky's face as he pulled up his sleeve, revealing most of his arm. Letting other people see it could be... hard, but it was what had to be done. He took the branch from her hands, positioning it against the metal. After a shallow exhale, he grasped the it firmly and applied friction, lightly at first but soon much faster.
And then, light.
He turned to her with the vaguest hint of a smirk, holding out the torch so she could take it. ]
Ready.
no subject
I'm discovering new talents every day.
[She watches him curiously, not at all phased by the metal arm. It looks really cool and if she were to ever lose an arm she'd totally want one. Right now she's happy to have both of her arms.
When the light flares at the end of the branch she blinks and then looks away. It's brighter than she thought it would be.]
Yeah, yeah. You're amazing.
[That smirk is sort of cute.]
I'm ready. Are you leading? If so you should hold the light. I'll stay right behind you.
no subject
[ Human matchbox wasn't really a talent to brag about, though.
The smirk widened just a bit. It felt familiar to have someone to banter with, and familiarity was something he rarely got to experience. It wasn't so bad in this case.
He had assumed the blonde would want to keep the light close to her, but holding on to it might be a better idea. Putting her at the front would be reckless. He turned back toward where they had come, but he held his metallic hand behind his back with his gaze set straight ahead. ]
Need to hold hands again?
no subject
Only if you promise not to let go.
[Freya steps behind him and takes his hand that isn't holding the flaming branch. It isn't as if she'll have trouble keeping up but she doesn't want to get lost in the dark with those shadows around.
She's fast but she can't make it on her own.]
no subject
Wouldn't dream of it.
[ It was hard to gauge his own strength sometimes, but he tried to keep his grasp firm but not overtly so. Hopefully it would work out. Bucky hadn't even expected her to actually want to. While he was a little bit serious about it, it had mostly been a joke. Not like he could do anything about it now.
He started to move forward, but there was one thing on his mind that was important to ask. ]
I don't know your name yet.
[ He would have offered his own first were he anything like his old self, but he was still debating on how transparent he should be. James was out of the question, he knew that much. ]
no subject
Her lips tug into a warm smile as she spoke.] My name is Freya.
[She almost laughs at how normal introductions feel in this sort of setting.]
What's yours?
[Freya doesn't mind calling Bucky by a nickname or really any name he wants though a small part of her will want to learn his birth name. Freya's always been curious and while she's grown skittish and cautious over time that curiosity hasn't diminished.]
no subject
He lingered in silence as he considered just what to tell her, but that old nickname, the one that reminded him of a past he couldn't yet understand, fell from his lips before he could conjure anything better. ]
... Bucky.
[ He felt vulnerable for having spoken that name, and his stoic expression fell for a few unshielded moments. He was fortunate in that at the very least they had the distance of metal between them. ]
no subject
Bucky? [Sounds like a nickname.] I like it. It suits you.
[A soft laugh escapes her lips in a puff of hair before she can stop it.] Can I call you buck? It's cute.
[Like a stag: strong, powerful, brave. It suits him.]
no subject
He shot a look back down at her, brows furrowed. ]
Cute? [ He huffed. ] No. I don't do cute.
[ Somehow he had a feeling that wouldn't deter her. It sure as hell hadn't stopped Steve Rogers. ]
no subject
What if I said it was super manly? Can I call you buck then?
[She can just come up with a new nickname all together if he's bothered by it. Freya doesn't put much stock in names but then she rarely gives her last name to those she meets. She squeezes his metal hand lightly.]
Now that we're introduced we should probably get going.
no subject
[ His voice wasn't cold, but it wasn't warm either. She was right that they needed to move. He was losing focus over something petty and inconsequential. He didn't want to think about how that small gesture of kindness made him feel, either. ]
Stay close. [ After a moment, he spoke again. ] If something goes wrong take the torch and run. You're good at that, aren't you?
[ He didn't think the light would fail them, but if it did he wanted her to at least have a chance. ]
no subject
I won't take the torch.
[Her tone is firm as if it's settled.]
I can run faster without it and if something goes wrong you'll need it or we won't have it. [Freya's logic makes perfect sense though it does little to comfort her. She releases a breath of air and then nods.] I've been running for a long time.
[She doesn't want to say more on the matter so she wants for him to start moving.]
