- Post with a character you might want to play here.
- Either use one of the prompts or you can make your own.
- Have fun.
★ Prompts
1) Arrival
[Before you knew it, the world you were in had gone dark. Why or even how wasn't exactly clear, but the moment you wake up, you find that you are not where you were before. Instead there appears to be a small village, but it's dark and the people appear to not be leaving there houses anytime soon. Why weren't they? Perhaps looking around might wield results.]
2) Monster Attack
[Just outside the village creatures appear to be wondering around. If you come too close they will attack. Sharp claws swinging towards whoever crosses there path. Avoid or counter?]
3) What the hell?!
[In the woods, if one were to wonder further enough they would come across a circle and a bunch of cloak people, kneeling down and bowing down toward the center. Whatever was going on it was certainly odd.]
4) Wildcard

Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
[He knew she hated it, but having Karrin here suddenly made this place a hell of a lot less scary. Something about familiarity, probably. Yeah. That had to be it.
He and Murphy had been through Hell (like literally) together. He could afford her an honest answer after his witty (at least in his own mind) retort.]
You know, I don't know. [Wait, that came out wrong.] Well. Nothing. I didn't do anything. What I do know is this isn't any part of the Nevernever, it's not Chicago. It's not Kansas or Timbuktu, either. Or Oz...at least I don't think it's Oz. I haven't found a yellow brick road yet, anyway.
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
It is good to see him but there is a knot of dread that won't loosen in her gut.]
Great.
[Murphy's eyebrow raised at him. The lack of information bothered her.]
So you don't know anything? Nothing that gives us a clue as to how we got here?
[It's obvious that she wants more than that Harry.]
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
The only clue I have is that we all, [He accentuated that we to let her know they weren't alone] ended up here the same way. We all woke up here. Some of us were asleep, others weren't, and whatever we had on us at the time came with us. I haven't detected any trace of a spell on the level required to do a mass transport, either. We may be dealing with some sort of comic book level dimension shift...because this doesn't smell like Fae magic, either.
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
There are more of us. Was everyone taken from the same place? Obviously not at the same time. [Since Harry has clearly been here longer than her.]
Were you able to figure out where we are? Or find a correlation between those taken?
[Murphy isn't expecting Harry to have an answer to any of her questions. Saying them aloud helped her focus and not worry about the potential threat that loomed just out of sight.]
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
As for the others, not really. I've met a werewolf that doesn't fit into any knowledge I have of werewolves. [He looked at her face, her nose, and widened his eyes to show how weird it all was.] This is all a lot more complicated than it looks, Murph.
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
[That's a comforting though at least.]
With you, it's always complicated.
[She flashes him a semblance of a smile. She knows that shit is about to hit the fan but for the moment she's just happy that Dresden is here with her. She trusts him, no matter what else that will never change.
Between the two of them they should be able to at least figure it out and if they aren't the only ones stuck here, then that means they'll most likely have help or opposition. Things are never so easy.]
What kind of werewolves are they?
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
He smiled.]
Stick with me and you'll never have a dull moment.
[And the glimpse Harry casts her way at her question suggests he's much more fascinated by the concept than he's trying to let on.]
The real kind. [And then he laughs slightly.] Well, they're all real, but these...people. Are wolves, Karrin. Wolves that are also people.
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
[It's one of the things that attracts her to him though she'll never admit it. She likes the adventure and she likes helping people. Her place is in the police, protecting the city of Chicago.]
So they're were-humans?
[She can tell he's trying to stop himself from freaking out.]
Where are they from?
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
[And really cool, but we can cover that later.]
The one I met said he's from Montana.
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
Montana. That makes sense. Is he the only one?
[The more she thought about it, the more the setting seemed perfect. It made more sense than werewolves being in Chicago.]
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
I've personally met two. We...met some resistance, so I didn't get a chance to ask her where she was from.
[No, Murph. I did not get taken out by a villager with a tree branch. Nope. Never happened.]
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
Resistance? Should I be worried?
[As always Harry is leaving something out.]
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
Not if you can duck.
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
Having trouble ducking Harry?
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
Like being trapped in a weird alternate dimension that was somehow dead, but not.]
You're shorter than me, Murphy. That makes you naturally better at it.
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
Come on then. I'll protect you from anything that might be coming at you.
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
My hero. You know, I always wanted a pocket-sized bodyguard.
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
Say that again and I'll break your legs.
[She flashes him a cute smile before turning towards the Inn.]
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
Murph, you say the sweetest things.
[And as they approach the inn, he quickens his step, fully intending to reach that door first.]
Karrin Murphy | The Dresden Files
She knows that he has longer legs but she's determined to prevent his Calvinistic tendencies. When his hand reaches the door first she frowns and watches as he pulls open the door.
Damn it.
Murphy steps into the warmth of the inn feeling oddly comforted by their race. Harry really will never change.]
