1) Arrival
[Before you knew it, the world you were in had gone dark. Why or even how wasn't exactly clear, but the moment you wake up, you find that you are not where you were before. Instead there appears to be a small village, but it's dark and the people appear to not be leaving there houses anytime soon. Why weren't they? Perhaps looking around might wield results.]

2) Monster Attack
[Just outside the village creatures appear to be wondering around. If you come too close they will attack. Sharp claws swinging towards whoever crosses there path. Avoid or counter?]

3) What the hell?!
[In the woods, if one were to wonder further enough they would come across a circle and a bunch of cloak people, kneeling down and bowing down toward the center. Whatever was going on it was certainly odd.]

We haven't.

[Vincent's tone is curt and he doesn't shift his gaze from the gathered people in the clearing among the standing stones as he replies. He crosses his arms, the glinting bronze claw on his left arm catching the moonlight.]

It's probably best to be avoided.

That isn’t anyway to introduce yourself.

[Hatter replies with ease and composure, not completely unlike a man used to putting on a show.]

For example! [She removes his hat and quickly flicks it in a circle and then tosses it up to land spectacularly on the cap of his head.] I’m called Hatter.

Now it’s your turn.

[Vincent shifts his gaze toward the man, no emotion showing in his expression or his eyes. It hadn't been an introduction because I hadn't tried, he thought.

He watches Hatter's display evenly and blinks his eyes once before speaking.]

Vincent.

[Hatter's eyebrows rose at the man.]

I see you enjoy using an extensive vocabulary.

[He might be getting a little standoffish.]

I don't suppose you know a way out of this place?

[If Vincent has a further comment on the matter of his conversational skills, he doesn't voice it. Instead, he turns toward the man, dropping his arms to his sides, moving his cloak aside as he does so.

That is a very impressive firearm at his hip.]

No. [He looks back toward the clearing and the pause that follows is almost enough to make the other man think he isn't going to say anything else.] I don't think they'll help us.

[Hatter releases a soft breath. Great, a silent man with a very large gun. This day can't possibly get better.]

I'm receiving a similar feeling.

[He replies in an easy tone. This is a very frustrating conversation for him.]

Mmm. [He watches the display for a moment longer before turning on his heel and taking a stride in the opposite direction.]

We should look elsewhere for information. [A beat.] You're welcome to come.

Thank you for the invitation.

[He replies quickly before falling in step behind the shadowy man. His chances with others are far better than his chances alone. He just needs to get a read on this stranger.]
