1) Arrival
[Before you knew it, the world you were in had gone dark. Why or even how wasn't exactly clear, but the moment you wake up, you find that you are not where you were before. Instead there appears to be a small village, but it's dark and the people appear to not be leaving there houses anytime soon. Why weren't they? Perhaps looking around might wield results.]

2) Monster Attack
[Just outside the village creatures appear to be wondering around. If you come too close they will attack. Sharp claws swinging towards whoever crosses there path. Avoid or counter?]

3) What the hell?!
[In the woods, if one were to wonder further enough they would come across a circle and a bunch of cloak people, kneeling down and bowing down toward the center. Whatever was going on it was certainly odd.]

[Freya watches him curiously, her fingers lacing behind her back in an easy gesture. She looks far to relaxed for the situation.]

Let's hope it's something good.

[She cants her head to the side.]

So what are you? Can I ask that? If it helps we can trade information.

[He doesn't smell like anything she's encountered before and holy fuck he's pretty. Somehow she feels like its the sort of pretty that might even make her instincts waver. That's an uncomfortable thought.]

[Thomas' demeanor changes immediately. Where he'd been flippant and devil-may-care just a moment ago, his expression darkens with a frown. How exactly did he explain what he was to someone who clearly didn't know what a White Court vampire was?]

I'm...a vampire.

[Freya doesn't look bothered upon hearing this.]

Not like any vampire I've smelled. Are there different kinds?

[She adjusts the straps on her backpack before stepping forward.]

Oh, right. You don't have to answer if you don't want. I'm naturally curious.

[Where she comes from vampires don't have kinds?]

Yes. We have kinds. I'm a White Court vampire.

I've only met one other vampire and I'm about 85% sure he drank blood.

[It isn't like she asked Luther what his diet was.]

So what's a white court vampire? Are they all as pretty as you?

[Thomas can't help but smirk at her comment.]

Most of us are. We...feed on emotions. [In a way.]

[Freya's eyebrow rose.]

I think I can gander a guess which emotion you like best.

[Considering how she feels towards him... it's probably some vampire thing.]

[Thomas can't help but smile, at least slightly, at that.]

Is that right?

Yes~

[She draws out the word, smiling up at Thomas.]

Crazy how you can catch onto things, right?

[Thomas raises an eyebrow, looking down at the smaller werewolf with a quizzical expression.]

Yeah, funny. So, what do you think I like best? Call it an academic interest.

Well it's a happy one.

[Freya laughs softly, not much makes her feel flustered but this conversation is certainly trying to do just that.]

Let's see, [She hums softly.] given the fact that you're super hot and have this weird allure thing going I'm guessing sex.

[At her response, Thomas went still for a moment. Not the motionlessness of a man not wanting to share his innermost secrets with a stranger, but the calm, complete stillness of a predator in wait, just for a moment. His eyes flickered two shades lighter, his demon rearing its head at it's mention. It wondered if it could feed upon her, sink her into a pit of desire and drink her whole.

He closed his eyes for a moment, shoving the beast back into its cage before meeting her eyes again.]

Yeah. Something like that. [There was a darkness in his voice that hadn't been there before, a sort of loathing, though directed at what was anyone's guess.] And what about you, little wolf? What do you like?

[Freya notices the change in an instant. Her instincts flare and her first reaction is to run. She takes a small step back from him feeling the hair on her arms prickle and rise to attention.]

Like? [She swallows feeling as if their teasing has reached a more serious note. She really doesn't know when to shut her big mouth.]

I like to run.

[Which is true in every sense of the sentence.]

I can see that. [It wasn't spoken with disdain or anything so contemptuous. Instead, it was spoken as one would comment on the weather.]

You don't have to run. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has to control...urges. I doubt hunting in public is good for PR.

[Freya feels some of the tension in her shoulders relax though her instincts are still pressing her to flee.]

You would be correct. Though as a wolf I don't get held to the same people standards... Usually people freak out and run away.

[Not that it's happened but maybe once or twice she's had some weird run-ins as a wolf.] You know we are standing alone on a dark field in what looks like night without a moon right?

[At that, Thomas laughed, nodding.] Yeah, I noticed that the first few times I looked up.

[He shrugs at her explanation.] Running is never a good idea when facing a predator, at least not in my experience, and I have met a few things bigger than me.

[More than a few, but who was counting?]

Maybe you just suck at running?

[Freya offers as a counter feeling a more earnest smile tug at her lips. She is very good at running though she imagines that Thomas might be he sort of predator who can out run her.

It isn't a comforting thought to linger on.]

I actually happen to be damned good at running. [And there was a sort of pride in his voice.] There are a lot of things that would quickly rip my throat out. I don't like to stick around if they get snappy.

Then we have that much in common.

[They probably have a few other things in common with that though Freya isn't about to dive into more of Thomas's past. She's felt the monster inside of him and has no illusions as to what that monster can do to her if it gets hungry. Maybe if they've been here for awhile and she knew he'd been feed but right now it feels tenuous.]

Though I guess that doesn't look good for me if you really see me as prey.

[She wonders if being a werewolf would do anything to his feeding. She's able to regenerate faster than most and while her curiosity is strong, it isn't strong enough to ask.]

[He doesn't like talking about the demon, or it's needs and urges, or its insatiable hunger. Calling attention to it just made it thunder at the bars of its cage and that was harder to keep in check than it pacing in annoyance.

He shook his head, his tone darkening again.]

I don't. [He didn't. The Hunger may have had other ideas, but Thomas did not.] How about we find some place with light?

I like that plan.

[It takes a lot of effort for Freya to tear her eyes away from Thomas. It's dark and because of that light is very easy to see. She pauses with her back to Thomas, her light gray eyes squinting in the distance.]

I see something over there. Let's head that way.

[She looks back at him curiously.]

Sound like a good plan?

Or we're heading to the afterlife.

[With the darkness and the gloom, it was a safe bet they'd already found the place. His nostrils flared as he scented the air. It was foreign, and there wasn't one hint of anything green.]

Everything's dead enough for that to be the case.

I always thought the afterlife would be louder and have more people around to point at us.

[That and her family would be there but that isn't the sort of thing she's going to mention around a stranger or at all for that matter.]

I've noticed....

[The whole world feels wrong and uncomfortable. Freya doesn't like it.]

That depends on which book you read. [He shrugs.] Some say people just stop existing when they die, unless they're good people. Hell is supposed to be eternal torment, right? But...what if that eternal torment is being stuck with no one around except a pint-sized werewolf for eternity?

[Poking fun. It was always good at alleviating stress and taking one's mind off of hunger. Both were good things.]

Well, you're around. So I have that going for me.

[Freya shrugs and tries not to worry about it.]

I also think I'd remember dying. [She hums softly.] I want to just have my soul go into the earth. That's what I figured would happen. Is that weird?
