- Post with a character you might want to play here.
- Either use one of the prompts or you can make your own.
- Have fun.
★ Prompts
1) Arrival
[Before you knew it, the world you were in had gone dark. Why or even how wasn't exactly clear, but the moment you wake up, you find that you are not where you were before. Instead there appears to be a small village, but it's dark and the people appear to not be leaving there houses anytime soon. Why weren't they? Perhaps looking around might wield results.]
2) Monster Attack
[Just outside the village creatures appear to be wondering around. If you come too close they will attack. Sharp claws swinging towards whoever crosses there path. Avoid or counter?]
3) What the hell?!
[In the woods, if one were to wonder further enough they would come across a circle and a bunch of cloak people, kneeling down and bowing down toward the center. Whatever was going on it was certainly odd.]
4) Wildcard

Hatter | Syfy Original Series Alice
[Hatter stands and watches the proceedings with a passing interest. He's close to a tree and easy to miss for those who aren't looking for him.]
Blood hell. [He's gotten himself into something far beyond what he's comfortable with. He misses the simpler days when he'd run a tea shop and then discreetly help out those who needed it.]
This just means trouble.
what the hell?!
Crimson cape swirling about him as he strode purposefully into the wood, he came up short when he heard the chanting. It was haunting, and reminiscent of the followers of Sephiroth. A bad sign.
He watched the huddled figures for a moment, looking for some sign of intent, when Hatter spoke. He turned his head quickly at the sound, cursing himself for not noticing the man sooner. He makes a sound of agreement, rough and deep and looks back to the huddled worshipers.]
Trouble, indeed...but what kind?
what the hell?!
[Hatter turns towards the man with a curiously confused expression. Red swirling cape? He’s clearly not with the house of cards though he certainly looks like one of their many hit man. Hatter, being the skilled pretender that he is, continues without missing a beat.]
I don’t think we’ve been introduced.
no subject
[Vincent's tone is curt and he doesn't shift his gaze from the gathered people in the clearing among the standing stones as he replies. He crosses his arms, the glinting bronze claw on his left arm catching the moonlight.]
It's probably best to be avoided.
no subject
[Hatter replies with ease and composure, not completely unlike a man used to putting on a show.]
For example! [She removes his hat and quickly flicks it in a circle and then tosses it up to land spectacularly on the cap of his head.] I’m called Hatter.
Now it’s your turn.
no subject
He watches Hatter's display evenly and blinks his eyes once before speaking.]
Vincent.
no subject
I see you enjoy using an extensive vocabulary.
[He might be getting a little standoffish.]
I don't suppose you know a way out of this place?
no subject
That is a very impressive firearm at his hip.]
No. [He looks back toward the clearing and the pause that follows is almost enough to make the other man think he isn't going to say anything else.] I don't think they'll help us.
no subject
I'm receiving a similar feeling.
[He replies in an easy tone. This is a very frustrating conversation for him.]

However, appearing vulnerable wasn't a good idea. The other fellow looked just as misplaced as Jefferson felt, but he kept his expression stern and walls high. ]
You know anything about this?
no subject
If I did I'd probably have the good sense to be far away from here.
[Self preservation above all else.]
no subject
[ The way he said it made it pretty evident that he wasn't too happy with the current situation. ]
If we're going to be in this mess together we should probably trade names.
[ Except he wasn't interested in going first. ]
no subject
Sounds like a fair trade. I'm called Hatter and if you knew me it would be by that name.
[He is, afterall, a self proclaimed philamperist.]
no subject
[ Well. He thought they were fair.
His expression shifted at the name. "Hatter." He furrowed his eyebrows for a moment, his thoughts turning as his gaze lifted to the man's hat, but he was rather swift to correct the slip in his facade. ]
Jefferson. Not what I'm called, but what I prefer.
no subject
[Hatter flashes him a momentary smile before his lips fell into a more serious expression. His brows furrow slightly with a confused look pulling over his features.]
I haven’t seen anything like this but good sense says we should leave and find information elsewhere.
[He isn’t looking to stick his neck out with unknown variables. Not without good reason anyway.]
no subject
I'm inclined to agree.
[ He shot the group a look, then back to Hatter. ]
Think we can get out of this without being noticed?
no subject
They're more concerned with their own goings ons.
[He'd walk up that far without being spotted, no reason he can't walk away in a similar fashion.]

He hadn't quite worked up the nerve to take a look around with the Third sight, at least...not yet. Unfamiliar territory? Completely alien (and decidedly creepy) shadow monsters? Nah. The need for answers wasn't that desperate. Yet.
It was disconcerting how dead the place seemed. No plants, no animal sounds. Nothing. It was as though some great cataclysm had ripped the very fiber of life out of the Earth itself. That didn't sit well at all with the wizard. Magic was life. He wasn't sure what kept his walking forward for so long, either, but as he crested the wooded hill and the standing stones showed themselves, and what seemed to be some sort of religious ritual to boot, he felt the walk was worth it.
He starts at the sound of Hatter's voice. Okay. Did not see that guy there. Harry, you're getting rusty. Or old, like Thomas says.
You know what? Screw you, Thomas. He raises a hand to stroke his chin, nodding sagely, as was his wizardly right.]
Mmhm, Mmhm. Or it could mean Druids. You know. Nature worshipers. Maybe they're trying to bring life back to the land.
[He pauses for a beat.]
Or really boring LARPers.
no subject
Does this really look like people worshiping nature to you?
[His voice sounds incredulous. They were wearing black and chanting, not skipping through the dead woods naked and trying to breath life back into the woods. Not that Hatter knows anything about how you would do that.
He ignores the LARP comment because Hatter doesn't know what that acronym means.]
no subject
The stones are runed and set up in a circle. Circles are a binding of intent. The runes are instructions, but they don't look like any I've ever seen before.
[And if Bob were here, I could just ask them what they meant. Crap.]
I might be able to figure it out, but they don't look too friendly, and I don't really want to find out what kind of power they might be packing.
no subject
They’re mad as a box of frogs. [He has a feeling this stranger is similarly mad.]
So we walk away then and form plan B.
[He misses Wonderland, at least there he knew the dangers.]
no subject
A potentially powerful box of frogs. [He raises an index finger wisely.] Never underestimate the destructive power of an angry mob. It's an Old English proverb.
[He looks over to the shorter man, finally, breaking his serious expression with a slight smirk.] Harry Dresden.
no subject
[Hatter asks in a skeptical voice. He turns more fully towards Harry, his gaze inspecting the man more carefully. He can appreciate a mad in a very large coat.]
Hatter.
[He introduces himself with a minimal flourish.]
And that's why we search for a plan B or perhaps just speak to the one pulling the strings. [It's easier to talk to peoples bosses tho far more dangerous]
no subject
[It's spoken matter-of-factly and with a curt nod.
And then he blinks, looking back to the other man.]
Hatter? You said your name was Hatter? Hatter comma the?
no subject
[His eyes narrow at the man.]
You said you were a wizard? Of what sort?
[Clearly one of the queens men. She wouldn't allow power to run around without her know how. Unless he realize is in another world. If so, that sucks.]
